Coagulation involves adding chemicals, to water to neutralise the electrical charges of suspended particles, allowing them to clump together into mini flocs. Once these particles are destabilised,
Flocculation follows—this step gently mixes the water, encouraging the small particles to collide and bond, forming larger clusters called flocs. These flocs can then be easily separated from the water, resulting in clearer, cleaner effluent and more efficient waste water treatment.
