Proven dryer that handles glue-like and sticky materials
The TMD (Thermo Mechanical Dryer) is our proven and robust sludge dryer system for dewatered aquaculture wastewater, but also an ideal design for other materials with glue-like and sticky behavious when drying.
The patented TMD technology is extremely compact.
We offer various capacity models delivered on a skid with feeding tank, and downstream cleaning systen for vapour and condensate streams. The TMD dryer is fully automated and easy to operate.
Fjell Turbo Disc (TD) Dryer
For larger application, the TD dryer is the state-of-the-art, energy efficient technology. While this technology has proven reliable and marketleading in the large inter-municipal sludge drying plants, this technology is promising for large aquaculture plant (largest fish farms).
The Fjell TD dryer has a pantented and improved design as compared to standard disc dryers. Moreover, Fjell has patented a concept which provides around 40% energy savings compared to conventional drying technology.

World's first hub for sludge treatment in aquaculture
Explore the first hub in the world to collect and handle sludge from various fish farm plants in the region. The plant is a fully automated sludge drying plant, delivered to Salten Marine Resources in Glomfjord Industry park in 2021.

Salten Smolt produces and delivers premium-quality smolt to customers across the region. Salten Smolt faced operational challenges with their wastewater treatment system.
