The fishing areas are right outside the door at Prima Protein’s state-of-the-art facility in Egersund harbour. Completed in 2019, this advanced production site features three high-performance TD dryers and a cooker supplied by Fjell Technology Group, enabling an impressive processing capacity of more than 1,000 tonnes raw material per day. An additional expansion of the facility was carried out in 2020 – becoming operational in early 2021. Here, high-quality marine proteins (fishmeal) and marine oils (fish oils) are produced from pelagic raw materials.
